How Robots Help Us

Robots are all around us, from small food-cooking robots to giant factory robots. Robots are programmed machines that help us with many jobs. They are programmed by humans to special jobs like cook, fix, play, build, work, and do a lot more things. They must have understandable instructions to perform their tasks. Robots also never get tired, hungry, thirsty, sick, or bored.

Normal robots have a body to match with their elements, a way of moving, a sensory system to collect info from their surroundings, and a way of acting with objects. They also have a source of electrical power, and a computer brain to control everything. Robots come in different shapes, sizes, and intelligence levels.

Robots come in different types. Social robots are designed to act with humans like helping disabled people and taking care of children. They are programmed to understand human actions and to react with them. Work robots are designed for jobs that are dangerous, continuous, boring, or dirty. Space robots are designed to defend the rough conditions of space. So, it’s much safer to send robots to explore space rather than humans.

Some robots are kept as pets, especially because humans don’t have to feed them, give them water, or clean for them. Home help robots help people do common jobs such as cleaning, cooking, and carrying items. Some robots teach students in schools and others work as doctors.

Robots improve our world by doing jobs for us. Robots make great companions for old people and are also very helpful in factories. It’s great to have a robot instead of a pet if you don’t want to do the chores of cleaning and feeding pets.
